PHOTEX: USS George Washington in exercise Talisman Saber 2013

130726-N-TP877-050 CORAL SEA (July 26, 2013) An EA-18G Growler from the Shadowhawks of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 141 leads two Royal Australian Air Force F/A-18F Super Hornets and a U.S. Navy F/A-18E Super Hornet from the Dambusters of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 195 in a left echelon flight formation over the U.S. Navy’s forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73). George Washington and its embarked air wing, Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 5, are participating in exercise Talisman Saber 2013, a biennial training event aimed at improving Australian Defense Force and U.S. combat readiness and interoperability as a combined joint task force.
