ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 24, 2013) The flight deck crew secures an F-35B Lighting II aircraft aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) following testing. Wasp is underway in support of F-35B Lightning II Developmental Testing phase II (DT-II). DT-II is a collaborative effort among the Navy, Marine Corps, and coalition partners to validate operational capabilities of the F-35B for amphibious platforms (LHD, LHA).
